Life without taste

An Essay By Anna // 11/24/2007

So what would life be like without taste?
There are actually pros.
1. We wouldn't ever have cravings, because we wouldn't know what anything tasted like.
2. We wouldn't lament over that, because, again, we wouldn't know what taste would be like.
3. Unless someone was really hungry all the time, everyone would stay incredibly thin and (for the most part) healthy. I mean, think about it... fattening and sugary foods are only invented and eaten for our tastes, and if we couldn't taste, what's the point? Everyone would eat healthy food.
4. No one would throw up because something tasted gross.
5. Even if they did throw up, it wouldn't taste gross.
6. Medicine or gross foods would be easier to make small children take or eat.
7. Picking up the thread of #3, if you didn't overeat, there would probably be no indisgestion.

Yeah... that's all for now.

Hope you enjoyed reading some random thoughts I had!

You have some good points, but although we woulnd't eat junk food because no one would ever have bothered making it, would we really be healthier? Think about it, if we coulnd't taste, how would we know if food was good or not? And how would we even know what was edibale and what wasn't?
Anyhew this was totally random, very nice!

Interesting Thought

My former Pastor often said, "When your mind wanders, where does it go?" It's kind of scary to think about some times. :)

How did you come up with

How did you come up with THAT? That was amazing!

hmmmm.... yes but...

there are some negatives to it though....

LOL wierd.... yah I see your points. you also wouldn't have to spend much money on any food. but it'd be verry ockward. all these different colored foods and shaped foods, tasting the same cause there's no taste...

1. stores would go out of buisness if everything taste the same. they'd only need to buy one kind of food.

2. smelling is one of the things that help you taste. cause if you plug your nose while eating somthing you don't taste. so that'd pretty much mean there wouldn't be very many smells! (if any...)

3. if there were no smells how would you know if somthing was rotten or you were dirty, or if your dog needed a bath....???

4. you have some cool points. and im not saying you'd rather not have taste but I thought of these....

p.s. But interesting thinking!! !! =)
(hope this doesn't come across wronge!!)

The Truth will set you free.

It does not come across

It does not come across wrong at all... actually I thought of some of those... but then, just because smell helps you taste doesn't mean taste helps you smell, and people would buy different foods cuz of health...
I didn't include cons because people know cons and I wanted to make you guys think of pros for a change... just for fun, u know?
