This is my bio (my life wound into a thread……….or I should say a spool of thread) I’m a writer through and through, though sometimes I feel like I can make up plots faster than I can write. (Not a very bad thing…) and to describe me in Middle-Earth fashion, I’d say I’m a hobbit/Gondorian (which adds up to Pippin!) it’s an odd combination, but it is what it is. There are two things that I’m not of each: I don’t have fury feet (alas!) and I don’t have black hair (blonde….). I delight in reading, as much as I do in writing. Here’s the list of the books I most enjoy:

The Lord of the Rings

The Hobbit

Farmer Giles of Ham

Leaf by Niggle

The Adventures of Tom Bombadil

Joan of Arc (Mark Twain)

The Princess and Curdie

The Princess and the Goblin

Alice in Wonderland

Through the Looking Glass

Nonsense from Letters

The Hunting of the Snark

A Tangled Tale

The Scarlet Pimpernel

Peter Pan

The Story of the Trapp Family Singers

The Perfect Joy of St. Francis

 Mara Daughter of the Nile

Enemy Brothers

So that’s books. As far as authors go…

J.R.R. Tolkien

Lewis Carroll

George MacDonald

I also enjoy playing piano. I don’t know a thing about it, but I know a few songs. I actually am learning how to play guitar.  Its fun, but I don’t feel very far. While I’m mentioning music, I will list my favorites:

Third Day

Jars of Clay

Tenth Avenue North (they are way better live!)

Steven Curtis Chapman

America the Beautiful (started all with gween mice…)

Grieg

Verdi, Carmen…

And cheers to favorite movies!

The Lord of the Rings

The Princess Bride

Sense and Sensibility (Columbia)

Pride and Prejudice (Greer Garson)

Battleground

The Longest Day

Sea Hawk

Captain Blood

Robin Hood (MGM)

Agony and the Ecstasy

My Fair Lady

Wizard of Oz

Bringing up Baby

His Girl Friday

Mrs. Miniver

Amazing Grace

Tora! Tora! Tora!

Alice in Wonderland (Walt Disney)

Sword in the Stone (Walt Disney)

Peter Pan (Walt Disney)

The Incredibles

Bolt

 Toy Story

That’s all, well, I hope that’s all. Anyway, most importantly, I’m a Roman Catholic. A very solid one at that.     I love being a Catholic. The gift of Christ in the Eucharist is a gift that I could never reject. I also love many of the saints the Church has canonized.  Here are just a few: St. Joan of Arc, St. John of the Cross, St. Clare and St. Francis, St. Natalia, St. Mathew, St. George, St. Philomena, St. Paul…

Here’s a small bit of info about me and my Lord of the Rings side:

I love middle-earth, and here are my top favorite characters: Pippin (ultimate!) Boromir, Aragorn, Merry, Sam, Bilbo, Gandalf, Legolas, and Gimli. I love acting out scenes from the movie/book (I can look a good deal like Boromir….mascara for the beard: D ) I also like pretending I’m characters from middle-earth…especially Pippin. I also love doing radio theaters of Lord of the Rings (Narnia, the Hobbit…The Princess Bride) Now here are my random likings:

A random assortment of breads, books, maps, costumes (putting them together with a bunch of random things is really fun) writing with a pencil, Lotr bookmarks,  swords (foam, wooden, plastic…stick, whatever is at hand) history, postage stamps, bikes, Breyer horses, typing on keyboards, praying, knights (and the laws of chivalry) castles, air (who does not like it?) running, my bed (the top bunk, with a map hanging above it, a bunch of drawings hanging on the wall, and a basket full of books) doodling, singing, marching, boots, climbing, everything about couches, being on stage, baseball, memorizing (poems, lyrics, and scripts) hamsters, banners, sewing, sword fighting (watching and doing it) middle ages, ice skating, hoods, tin foil helmets (I really don’t know why…considering they always fall apart) Minas Tirith, space, the moon (and by the light of the moon I will get to you somehow, so don’t stop for me now) words, computers that work ( that’s kinda a joke) fantasy (when it comes to stories…that’s all I could ever write!) medieval dresses, spears, beanie fights, dancing (even in the store….tap, ballet) rings, fairies, forests, elves, silver, brush tip markers, dogs, riding horses, trees, mountains, rivers, creeks, ponds, the ocean, seas, leaves, grass when it’s beaming in the sun, sunbeams, moonbeams, stars, rain, hail (at least the sound of it) being outside before a thunderstorm, horns (like Boromir’s horn type horns) bow and arrows, food (what hobbit doesn’t like food?) pillars, listening to music (in the car, while writing…cleaning) backyards, hills, running down slopes, sunsets and sunrises, leaves crunching under you in the fall, cool and warm wind, summer, autumn, wind, blizzards, fire, my cute hamster named Starbuck or Coffee Pot, horses, sheep, kiwi birds, clouds, Christmas, bridges, eagles, religious icons,  bowling, swimming in a swimming pool, hallways, getting things in the mail. Laundry chutes, decorating the Christmas tree, flea markets, tape recorders, keys, ducks, really early in the morning, night sky, Christmas Eve, sword fighting in the summer rain, the Energizer Bunny, organs, pacing, lunch, vines, plays, acting, hats, berets, fountains, staffs, masks, hobbit dances, attics, laying or sitting on the edge of things, long stair cases, mice, jumping off things, running around tight corners (and slamming your foot on Merry’s…ow!) parrots, chocolate covered pretzels, flying, moss, really low branches, playing the sound game (we only wish to catch a fish so juicy sweet!) making a current in the pool, Star Trek, cool sun-glasses, Christmas morning, Easter vigil mass, pipes (like Hobbit pipes…)  typewriters (I found one in an antique store…I fell in love with it :D) penguins (it all started with Mary Poppins…) arched windows, Piglet (it’s a long story…) lanterns, barns, Shadow and Light (it’s like freeze tag…but better) walking on the roots of trees, frogs, frenchie French fries, lilies, silhouettes, homeschooling, white roses, candles, Swedish fish, walking out in the woods, swings, puppies, chipmunks, the sound of chanting, whistling, cold ears in the fall, soup (oh, beautiful soup so rich and green…) the Very Strange Show, hard boiled eggs, the discontented sausage (never mind….it’s a long winded story…) cutting taters (potatoes…whatever you like to call them. I just like the Sam fashion) naming things (from Breyer horses to hamsters…) falling upon a nice bed when you are really tired, staying late at a freinds house and then coming home even later, playing group games, really early morning (when you are awake enough to enjoy it, when the whole family sits down for dinner, things that are cooked on the grill (I really love when it is hamburgers...) knowing two hours before that somone is coming over, playing the 'In the Dark Game' (a Lotr game that you play at night......its like your in Mirkwood...but your are in an Orc tunnel...)
