The Bronze Spear: Chapter One
The fires blazed under the forge where a bronze spear was being made. A stone knife was being carved out of a mountain rock. A golden sword was being forged. A silver arrow was being made out of the metal that shines at the first glint of light. The Mackkeezers took the magnificent weapons in their strong hands. Four figures stood in the shadows of the night. The light that came from the crackling fires slightly was beaming on the men’s faces. The four Mackkeezers stepped in front of the men in the shadows and knelt down holding the weapons. The fair and tall men took the weapons, but not harshly. They looked at them in a sort of awe. The Mackkeezers rose, looking up at the four as though they were mountains, similar in form they are, except stouter. Not a sound was to be heard except the crackling fires inside and out of the circle of trees. Then a voice jerked into the silence.
“You fools!” laughed a voice of a woman. They turned around only to see a Mackkeezer that was standing there before. Then lighting clashed, and the earth shook, thunder roared. The four men rolled into the forest as the lightning’s hands grasped the weapons from them. One Mackkeezer was killed by a rock that was as sharp as a sword. The other three rolled into the fires, helpless and burned. The lightning clashed so bright that the light of the moon was never seen again in that wood, the Moonless Wood is the name. The men, after the shocking storm, buried the four mackkeezers. They went in hopeless search for the weapons, for the weapons would destroy the four lairs of evil for ever. They were not to be found. So they went over the mountains to their families, thinking that they and their descendents would never be at peace. They all forgot about the weapons, except for the bearer of the silver arrow. King Aro wrote what happed that night and hid his writing. The weapons were never spoken of, evil grew and the people lingered.
Interesting. Can't wait to see what sort of story this is.
