Dreamers: Music in the Night

A Poem By Bridget // 7/27/2011

Quiet, dark, alive.
A shaking hand to hold.
Do you hear music in the distance?
Faint and eerie
A dance in the trees.
Flickering shadows, soft lights.
Your hands aren’t shaking anymore.
Enchanted creatures, peering from behind birches.
Do you see this elsewhere?
Magic, seeping through your blood.
Mystery, awakening your nerves.
Is this really something that happens every day?

This night; does it frighten you?
It exhilarates me.
The dreamer in me tells me there is adventure to be had
Can you feel it too?
The excitement is intoxicating; how can you sit back and watch?
Do you not believe it to be reality?

You may doubt, but I…
I will remain with my dreams.
