Madness

A Poem By Bridget // 4/20/2009

Dying, crying

Truthful lying

Wild insanity

Lost humanity

Take the reality

Cold practicality

Throw it away

Lead it astray

Ice cold laughs

Overgrown paths

World of out there

No longer care

Leave me to my madness

I like it. Also the simpleness of the title, and the way it rhyms. Very good, very good.

Thanks. Funny, this one wasn't even hard to rhyme; sometimes I have trouble with that and I just go with free verse.

I really like this! The way the final line is by itself, with no rhyme, makes it sound like a bitter pronouncement. (Not that I'm suggesting you feel that way yourself - I like writing sad poetry sometimes too!) :)

(I like The Brit's signature.) ;)

Smack a head that's unaware.
Then with freezing ice to spare
Melt and soak through underwear!
Fly straight and true, hit hard and square.
This, oh snowball, is my prayer." - Calvin, from Calvin and Hobbes
