My Bio

Hey! Well, this is definitely very exciting for me since it's a chance to get my writing "out there" before I publish something. Or maybe I'd better start at the beginning...
July 17, 1989, a baby girl was born. Bingo, that's me. I'm now...well, we're homeschoolers, do the math...:) Anyway, I've recently moved from one period of my life, being homeschooled, to another, being a homeschool graduate. I've run track for three years with a homeschool team in my area, and I play flute in the Play His Praises Homeschool Orchestra. I'm half Norwegian on my mom's side, and Irish, French, and German on my dad's side. I love Irish stuff and some day hope to vacation to Ireland.
For the past few years I've been trying to sharpen my writing skill because I believe God has given me a passion for writing. That said, I'll try to categorize some of my likes and dislikes so you'll have an idea of what I'm like.
Likes
Clothes: old blue jeans that are too long, Converse sneaker, jean jackets, and Kerusso tshirts

Musical stuff: playing piano (especially Lord of the Rings music). Listening to Casting Crowns, Jeremy Camp, Newsboys, Kutless, Stellar Kart, Leeland, Celtic music, the LOTR soundtracks, Hoodwinked soundtrack, and Cars soundtrack.

Books: Harold Bell Wright (The Shepherd of the Hills, The Uncrowned King); Ted Dekker (Blink, Showdown, Thr3e); C.S. Lewis (The Silver Chair, Till We Have Faces, Out of the Silent Plant); J.R.R. Tolkien (Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit,Roverandum); Brian Jacques (Rakkety Tam, Pearls of Lutra); F.W. Fallen (I've only read one, A Sword for the Immerland King); Randy Alcorn (Deception, Edge of Eternity); Dee Henderson (The Guardian, Danger in the Shadows); Mindy Starns Clark (The Smart Chick Mystery series); Susan May Warren (Flee the Night); Terri Blackstock (Night Light, Last Light) In short, I love to read!!

Sports and games: Ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, basketball Knckout, high jump, Huggermugger, chess, Age of Empires 3

Colors: almost any colors

Misc: Convertible Mustang GTs, silver Corvettes, red Mini Cooper S, almost any type of technology

Hobbies and Jobs: beadwork, reading about and trying to understand cryptology, and collecting old books, being an author, working as a librarian

Dislikes
Clothes: Stuff that doesn't match, anything not modest

Music stuff: rap, jazz, blues

Books: anything that's not well-written

Sports and games: Golf, regular basketball (especially since I'm too short) and shotput

Colors: olive gray, camo green, hot pink

Misc: printers (they're the only techy things I have problems with) Scions, white Mini Coopers, embryonic stem cell research

I also like making people laugh, but I apologize if my writing doesn't seem very funny. I'm still working on that. Right now I'm busy trying to finish my first novel, a task that has taken me three and a half years. I sincerely hope you enjoy my writing and feel free to leave comments and critiques.
