Heartsong

A Poem By little woman // 1/27/2011

Heartbeats thud

Creating thunder

Heartstrings strum

A ripple of melody

Thought-wishes explode

Muffling my brain

A blush blossoms

Overspreading my cheeks

Joy bubbles

Resulting in laughter

Confusion reigns

A harmonious disconnect

All is fair in love and war

But

This is not war, so it must be love

Yet

I do not think it fair

 To fall to pieces

When I fall in love

The scary thing about poets

The scary thing about poets is that they know my soul. This is one of those times.

I have hated the words and I have loved them, and I hope I have made them right. --The Book Thief
