It's Okay to Smile

A poem by Hannah W. | 11/18/2008

It's okay to smile,
It's okay to laugh
even though the ones we love
from this life and world do pass

It's okay to dance
feeling music and joy,
even though we know that death
is something we can't avoid

It's okay to love
and give your heart away,
even though you know it might
be broken to pieces someday

It's okay to grin,
to be happy isn't wrong,
even though the ones we love

Stars Over Llorleya- Chapter 21

Fiction by Anna | 11/3/2008

Chapter the Twenty-first

Loth awoke to the sound of a shot being fired. She was propelled out of her bunk by the force and tumbled onto the ground.
She sprang up, grabbing a lantern from its hook on the ceiling. "We’re being fired at!" she called to the other startled elves. "Everyone, on deck, quickly!"
As they followed her orders, some asked, "Can we return fire?"

Do you walk alone?

A poem by Stephanie | 12/12/2007

Do you walk alone?
Have you no one to stand at your side?
Does no one love like their own?
Is life at the point that you just want to die?
Does no one listen to what you have to say?
Do they care, or believe in you?
Haven’t we all been there?
But is there really no one?
Are you sure you are alone?
For someone greater cares,
For you his greatest joy.

Prayer

A poem by Heather | 10/14/2007

Fill me with enthusiasm, Lord, till I overflow
Take me, break me, love me, don’t let me go
Hold me cupped in your Almighty hands
God of heaven, God of all lands
Fill me with joy, Lord, forever more
Through sunny times and troubles sore
Touch me, Jesus, break these earthly chains
That I may dance and soak in this heavenly rain
Jehovah Jireh, Supreme Creator of everything

into the day

A poem by Brianna | 10/5/2007

Feel the sun
shine
on your face
warming you
filling this place
cold with dew
from a foggy night

Feel your legs
stretch
as you race
across the wide and
grassy space
rushing quickly
speeding forth

Feel the wind
pull
through your hair
dancing about you
telling its dare
whispering new
pushing forth

Feel your heart
skip
racing on
setting something
within you free

there again

A poem by Brianna | 10/3/2007

The wind is dancing about you
and rain pours through the day
washing it away
to another rainy day

The hope that comes with sunshine
seems lost amidst the clouds
while dampness soaks right through you
security drowning in flood

The rain is falling, pouring
blowing through the field
and everything that's withered
begins to rise and lift it's face
for tomorrow's brighter skies

To Dance Again.

Fiction by Kyleigh | 9/19/2007

This is a true story. It didn't quite happen this way, well, when we moved I tried to do ballet here before fencing, but it just didn't work, the dance schools here are... *shudders* I don't want to think about them. That's when I did fencing and then just today I started Irish Dance. It's good to be back, to be flying again. :P

To the Fullest

A poem by Timothy | 4/26/2006

They say you only live once
So live
Like you’ll never get another chance
Give
Your world true love and romance
And live
To the fullest

They only live once, too
So reach
And touch them when they’re down
Speak
The words to erase the frown
And live
To the fullest

They say a friend is for the tough times
So sigh
And face the world together
Cry
And be comforted forever
