Sea so Deep

A poem by Bernadette | 7/16/2008

The night so fair
Wind so cool
Deep waves of sea
Flow ever on

The stars glimmer
Spreading brightness
On deep blue sea
Reflects
Fair moon
Above the sea

The sky, the sea
Deep blue
Rushing sound
Of waves
Gusting
Wind

The wave’s lapping shore
Tide pulls in
As sun rises
Over peaks
Of blue seas
Shall endure the morn.

Stars fade and moon sets
On a misty morning

Clear and sweet
Ring through the air
And clear out sleep

The flowers open
And bloom in glades
Suffused in scent
Of mist and haze

Layering mist
Covers the ground
Concealing all

I lay (trying to be awake) and go through my To Do list aloud. It’s going to be one of those days…

Take out my winter clothes and put away the summer ones (sniff)
