lead me

Sometimes dreaming is what keeps me alive
but sometimes I wonder if it's worth the fight
when all it appears to do is fill my mind, with
something that seems impossible for this life.

And I don't mind this world in its essence
it's the outcome I don't understand
when everything's viewed to be broken
and no one will just take a stand.

It's the ache we feel with silence
it's the voice that goes unheard
it's the times when we are troubled
it's the times we're not assured

It's the helpless little babies
it's the blessing never known
it's the line that needed drawing
it's the the love never shown

The tattoos the nose-rings what has it come to?
The clothes, the hair, just for popularity!
No love, No care, Only filthy air.
No peace, No quiet, Only screaming through the night.
A hundred boyfriends, A thousand girl friends, Has this world come to an end?
Teasing, Laughing, putting someone else down.
Is this what the world has come to?

How did You, O God
Walk that rocky road?
With the worlds sin upon Your head
And hear the lies they told?

I wonder if you even thought
Once about Your pain
Or did You think of me, dear God
Of all my sin and shame?

Of all the steps You took
All for sin, and me
Every step – every pebble
Meant closer to Calvary.

How many times do we
Think of that each day
