Her Shadow

A poem by Velocity | 6/20/2007

Her Shadow

There was a day of pain and sorrow,
When a person lost her shadow.
Grief, sorrow, guilt, and shame.
When this person lost her shadow.
There was a day before this filled with joy,
With happiness, faith, trust and hope.
But when this person lost her shadow,
It all was lost to the grave.
There was a day when they where happy.
No problems, no worries, no troubles.
But when she lost her shadow,
The grief, the guilt, and the shame only stayed.
Now this old shadow is in the hearts of many.
Still living, still breathing, still loving, and caring,
Still doing what she did, with her shadow,
When this person had her shadow

P.S. This is not about anyone in particular
