Someday -- (Cancer)

A poem by Velocity | 2/20/2008

Mommy cries for me every night,

Holding my hand, and hugging me through thenight.

She knows I don’t have much more time.

Only two more months till I die

Daddy’s hugging me through the day,

He asks me if I wana play

Barbies and dolls all through the day

He says “Lets not think about the future or the past, lets share the time that we have.”

Little brother, little sister, too young to understand,

As long as I play with them,

They’re happy and grand.

Walking to the park, with mommy and with daddy,
The kids stare, as a tear rolls down my cheek into my hand.

Cause the hat on my head, shows I have no hair

Even if they’re sad for me, they just stare.

Jesus, please help me understand,

Please help me enjoy the time I have,

Please prepare a place for me,

That has lots of pretty bugs,

And lots of green trees.

And Lord please take care of mommy and daddy
while I’m away,

Little Tommy and little Sarah,

Please help them not to be afraid,

For I’ll see them again,

Someday

I think this poem is very good. It touches the heart and makes you very thankful for a heathly body and life. Very good.
