Participating in Apricotpie

1. Send in something you wrote: an essay, poem, or short story

apricotpie shares your writing with an appreciative audience and shows it artfully. A person of any age can write for apricotpie, and you can write on any topic as long as it is in good taste. You must be either a homeschool student or homeschool graduate to write. When you submit a piece, one of the frequent writers on apricotpie will review it. We accept pieces that are creative and have a thinking process to them. Register here and then post a piece for our review!

2. Write a comment

Now your comments can be posted directly below the essay, poem, or fiction you want to make a comment about. Every writer deserves a good listener! Homeschoolers and non-homeschoolers may comment (that is, everyone may). All comments are moderated.

3. Send us feedback

You can send a general message to apricotpie via the feedback form. The message will come to me and I can share it with the appropriate people. We all love your input!

4. Ask to join as a permanent, monthly writer

What does it mean to be a monthly writer? Monthly writers are homeschooling students or graduates of homeschooling. They are people who write at least once a month, and they usually make a commitment to write with apricotpie for at least a year. Whenever they decide to write, they can post something immediately. They can also make comments without moderation.

It is a privilege to be a monthly writer. It means you have a place that shares your writing with an appreciative audience, shows it artfully, helps give you the boost to keep on writing, and holds that writing for you in one place until it becomes a source for memories. To apply to be a monthly writer please send me four samples of your writing. You can reach me by filling out the feedback form or by writing to me via my profile (my username is Ben).
