Death was on the line

Death is on the line,
As I pushed pass the crowds of people on the sidewalk, And walked up to the bridge,

Death is on the line.
As the little girl, walked pass the dead shrub, holding her little brothers hands, too weak to carry him.

Death is on the line.
As I was about to walk in the store, and saw a man with a sign, I kept going.

Death is on the line.
When fatherless child was yet to be bore, or arborted.

Death is on the line.
When father who lost his job, was living under bridges with his family.

Death is on the line.
When my heart was broken more than twice.

Death is on the line.
When I lost my love.

Death is on the line.
When I was tempted to do the wrong.

Death Was on the line but Eternal life is what God offers.

(p.s. if you do not under stand “death was on the line” its like maybe not living death but eternal death also)

Interesting...very interesting...quite dark. (=

I wonder if somewhere in my ramblings, summat philosophical and meaningful will appear...

Great poem, Velocity! I don't really think it's that dark, though. :)

You know this was very dark! But I'm like the most random, happiest person, and crazy, and energetic, and the most colorful person you've ever met but yet most of my writing is dark and empty. And I think that's because it's how I let all of my sadness out so I can be the happy person I am! and I think that's kind of what you do! :) Long theory, huh?

I like this. :)
Good job.

I don't think it's dark... I think it's just a good reminder of the sad truth that most of the world is so hopelessly lost, but we've got hope for them that we often don't give them.
